This beautiful product started the entire Shea Butter line for HEALFUL JOY. I designed it to help my skin stay healthy, moisturized and hopefully get through my first pregnancy without any stretch marks. I am proud to say I didn't get stretch marks with either of my pregnancies. But....I wasn't off the hook that easy. I did get something called Melasma, the size of nickels on my cheekbones. Melasma, are brown spots that typically occur on the face during pregnancy. It's referred to as the "mask of pregnancy". Let me tell yeah, not fun.

Circling back to I AM GLOWING. I used it on my belly, breasts, & hips for both pregnancies. I absolutely fell in love with it and just couldn't go back to anything I found in the stores. So I decided to use it as my daily face & body moisturizer. To my surprise, my Melasma started to dissipate. I wasn't expecting my shea butter to help with that so at first I wasn't even thinking that was a possibility. You see, a medical spa professional told me that it was going to take a pretty strong chemical peel and chemically ladened product that I would most likely have to use for 6 months to a year in order to reduce those dark brown spots on my face. Boo! I was not happy about that.

So it was time to go back to the drawing board. I decided to do some research on what essential oils worked well for healing Melasma and I'm sure you can imagine how thrilled I was when I learned that the four of the six certified therapeutic grade essential oils I used in my now, I AM GLOWING shea butter, were the oils recommended to purify the skin and bring it back to health. Um, yes please!

So there you have it. I AM GLOWING was born and it inspired an entire line of shea butters that I am simply ecstatic to share with you.
